12 Troubleshooting
This section explains potential problems you may encounter while using the device and provides information on keeping the craniectomy unit ready. Troubleshooting:

- Please replace it if possible.
If you encounter problems or malfunctions that are difficult to resolve or that you cannot resolve yourself, please contact an authorized service representative.
12.1 User Self-Check
If you find any problems or malfunctions in the device, you can check it by following these steps:
- Remove the battery and wait at least 1 minute before reinstalling it; or turn on the device and press the power button 3 times within 8 seconds of turning it on.
- Follow the voice and graphic instructions to complete the self-test.
- After the self-test is complete, the device will display the test results. Please keep the electrodes connected. If the test passes, the status will display "OK". If the test fails, the status will display "X".
- If an "X" is present, please contact customer service.
13 Cleaning, service and disposal
13.1 Cleaning
The equipment should be cleaned after each use or at least once a year. In areas with severe environmental pollution or sand pollution, the cleaning frequency should be increased.
The following cleaning agents have been proven effective:
- Water (quality of drinking water)
- Ethanol (75%)
We recommend cleaning your device after each use. To clean your device, please follow these guidelines:
- Turn off the device.
- Cleanliness status - displayed using a soft cleaning cloth.
- Clean the outer surface of the equipment with a soft, damp cloth containing the recommended cleaning agent.
- If necessary, wipe off all cleaning solution with a dry cloth after cleaning.
- Dry your equipment in a well-ventilated area.
- Visually inspect the equipment surface. If staining is found, clean it immediately. After cleaning, take precautions to prevent rusting, fading, and staining.
Note: If you are using this device in a hospital or research institute, please check your institution's regulations regarding device cleaning.
13.2 Maintenance and Repair
We recommend that the device be visually inspected at least once a year to check for physical damage to the device, electrodes, battery, and all other accessories.

13.3 Shipment of Equipment
If possible, use the original box. If the original box is no longer available, use suitable packaging materials to secure and pack the device well to protect it from impact and damage. When transporting the device to an emergency location, hold it by hand.
Please be aware of national and international shipping regulations regarding clock batteries. Please contact your dealer or manufacturer for more information.
13.4 Handling

Handle equipment, batteries, and individual components in accordance with local regulations.

Based on the manufacturer's fundamental principles, your product has been developed and manufactured using recyclable, high-quality materials and components.
At the end of its service life, the equipment is recycled through a disposal company (parliamentary recycling facility) registered under public law. Proper disposal of the product contributes to environmental protection.
