2 Introduction
2.1 Introduction
Dear User:
In a medical emergency, you may need to use HeartSave myPAD.
In order for you to react quickly and appropriately in these special situations and to make full use of the opportunities the equipment offers, we recommend that you read these instructions carefully in advance to familiarize yourself with the equipment, its functions, and applications.
Keep these instructions near your device so you can consult them if any inquiries arise.
If you have any questions about activating, using, or maintaining a heart preserver, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Please contact us if the device exhibits unexpected behavior or incidents.
Serious incidents related to the craniectomy device must be reported. If the craniectomy device does not perform as intended, please contact the manufacturer and local authorities.
"Serious events" refer to events that have already, may have already, or may have already directly or indirectly caused any of the following consequences, such as:
- Death of the patient, user or other person
- Temporary or permanent serious deterioration of the health condition of the patient, user, or others.
- It poses a serious risk to public health.

2.2 Effectiveness
The descriptions in these operating instructions are based on the Heart myPAD series of automated external defibrillator devices manufactured by Metrax, Inc. In the following operating instructions, the automated external defibrillator is referred to as HeartSave.
The contents of this document may be changed by the manufacturer without notice.
2.3 Disclaimer
Claims for personal injury or property damage are excluded if they are based on one or more of the following reasons:
- Use the device outside of its intended purpose or as an instruction.
- Failure to comply with operating instructions, safety guidelines, or maintenance procedures.
- Remove the protective cover, or operate the equipment if the cable/electrode is visibly damaged.
- Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or third-party components not approved by the manufacturer.
- Use uncertified accessories or consumables.
- The easily worn parts were not inspected regularly.
